CASIL Europe enters into exclusive negotiations with Eiffage for the sale of 49.99% of Toulouse-Blagnac airport

23 May 2019

Under the terms of the contemplated agreement, Eiffage would acquire all the shares held by CASIL Europe in Aéroport de Toulouse-Blagnac (ATB), representing a 49.99% ownership.

This potential transaction would mark the start of a new chapter in ATB’s history, after its strong development since CASIL Europe took over as its largest shareholder in 2015.

CASIL Europe’s resolute commitment over the period, together with ATB’s management, resulted in nearly a 30% increase in traffic, 42 more destinations for passengers and a much-improved airport, making ATB the third regional airport in France. Moreover, according to the latest ranking from AirHelp published in May 2019, Toulouse is the best French airport in passenger experience.

The signing of a Sale-and-Purchase Agreement (SPA) will follow the completion of the procedure before ATB’s employee union under the French law. In case of a conclusion of a binding agreement, the contemplated transaction would be subject to customary closing conditions and the successful outcome of the litigation now pending before the French supreme administrative court (Conseil d’Etat).
